Butch brings more than four decades of leadership, aviation, and program management experience to RSi. His career began with 26 years in the United States Army, where he retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 5. He went on to spend 13 years with Boh Environmental supporting specialized container solutions for military operations, followed by 7 years with Advanced Technology Systems Company managing programs for U.S. and allied forces. Today, he serves as Aviation Services Program Manager, continuing his commitment to mission success and operational excellence.
Inspired by his father’s Air Force service and his mother’s experiences growing up in London during WWII, Butch developed a deep-rooted passion for military service early in life. Having lived across the U.S. and Europe—including France, England, and Italy—he gained a global perspective that shaped his path. He began his Army career with the 82nd Airborne Division before transitioning to aviation, where he flew the AH-1F Cobra and held key assignments across the U.S., Germany, and Korea. He ultimately retired as a Senior Maintenance Manager supporting the 3rd Infantry Division.
Outside of work, Butch has always enjoyed staying active. He loved playing basketball, and over time golf has become a hobby—earning an impressive handicap of 6. Today, his favorite tradition is traveling with his wife, Jacki, to Dallas each Thanksgiving to watch the Dallas Cowboys play at AT&T Stadium—a tradition they now enjoy every year.
Butch says his favorite thing about working at RSi is the strong sense of family and camaraderie. He chose RSi because of its supportive leadership, team-first culture, and commitment to ensuring employees have the resources they need to succeed. For him, it’s a place where people genuinely care about one another and take pride in their work.
He does this work because aviation maintenance is dynamic and challenging—no two days are ever the same. From solving unexpected problems to working alongside highly skilled professionals, he thrives in an environment that demands adaptability and teamwork.
The best advice Butch has ever received came from a commanding general early in his career: live by the 4 Ps—Praise in Public, Punish in Private. It’s a principle that has guided his leadership style, emphasizing recognition, respect, and accountability.
We’re proud to have Butch’s experience, leadership, and dedication as part of Team RSi—he continues to make a lasting impact on our organization and those around him.
