Doris and Bob Riccelli started Creative Gardening in April 2009 with just a small, red pick-up truck they called Betsy and a few hand tools. They worked the next 13 years to grow the company into what it is today—a thriving business that provides an array of services to hundreds of customers each year. Although it was always Bob’s passion to “dig in the dirt,” he knew at the age of 77 it was time
for him to take off his work boots. In July 2021, Doris and Bob hired a broker to sell the business, and Jason and Jennifer Jones bought Creative Gardening in January 2022. Some of Jason’s fondest memories as a child were running through the trees and playing with the animals on his family’s farmland in Moulton, Alabama. He loved everything about what the fresh air had to offer, so as a young adult he went to work for various landscaping companies while going to school for nursing. As a Registered Nurse, Jason always poured his skills, passion, and care into his patients, but it was his love of the outdoors and his past landscaping experience that beckoned him to buy Creative Gardening when he was contemplating a professional change. Jennifer is a Speech Language Pathologist who has worked primarily with autistic children and skilled nursing patients during her career. She is typically the one working behind the scenes at Creative Gardening and the voice on the phone. Jason and Jennifer are carrying on Doris and Bob’s high regard for building long-term relationships with customers. By providing outstanding quality services throughout the years, Creative Gardening had earned an “A+” rating with the Better Business Bureau as well as the Angie’s List Super Service Award for six consecutive years. Creative Gardening is fully insured and maintains all required state, county, and city licenses. Free estimates are provided, and references are available upon request.
