To address this customer's storage needs, we designed a custom-built locker system and storage locker in the garage. Additionally, we reconfigured the island into a spacious island/dining room table combination. This was a simple garage trim replacement that turned into a way bigger job upon inspection. This is a Ryan home where they decided the house didn’t need tyvek house wrap on the garage or the entire front of the house actually. The old garage trim was made out of plywood and no drip cap which allowed water intrusion which in turn rotted out the wall sheathing and some of the framing because there is no house wrap to protect it. We completed the garage section for this homeowner and will have to come back to remove the rest of the siding on the front of the house at some point to install house wrap. I’m sure we will find more rotted wall sheathing and framing at other trim areas because it’s the easiest place for water intrusion to happen. For now at least the customer has peace of mind with the repairs made at the garage along with the newly installed house wrap and the azek trim that will never rot! Ive said it before and I’ll say it again, production Homes are literal junk and if you even consider buying one please at least get a home inspection done!

Carter lumber Elyria had us install new flooring and trim in an office along with reconfiguring an old cabinet display and countertop to fit the office space. We also installed new flooring and trim in the old conference room. No better way to show off your work then to be doing work in the best lumber yard in the area!
