A quality roofing project sometimes requires correcting problems that have existed for years.

This home was completely resheeted to provide a flat, secure surface for the new CertainTeed roofing system. Because the existing soffits could not provide enough intake ventilation to balance the roof’s exhaust, we installed a shingle-over intake ventilation system.

We also replaced deteriorated fascia boards, removed the old crown molding, corrected the rafter tails, and installed new plumb fascia boards. That preparation will also accommodate seamless gutters if the homeowner chooses to add them later.

These additional steps take more time and material, but proper airflow and preparation help protect the roof and maximize the life of the shingles.

This commercial building was struck by flying debris from a neighboring building’s roofing system, leaving a large hole in the exterior wall.

After a structural engineer determined that the building could be saved, we temporarily secured the damaged area and furred out the walls to prepare them for a new exterior steel finish.

Projects like this are about more than covering visible damage. The repairs underneath must be completed correctly so the finished exterior is straight, secure, and built to last.

Two new egress windows installed the right way—not just the fast way.

We dug down to the foundation drain tile and added crushed rock around the window wells to improve drainage and help prevent heavy rain from backing up against the new window units.
