The shingles are important but what is underneath is just as important. Things to ask the Contractor are you using a matching roofing system. The matching roofing systems and correct installation are the key components to ensuring a manufacturer
warranty and extending the life of the shingles. So many times I see improper installation of underlayments, ice and water barrier, and mix match roofing materials that completely negates the manufacture’s warranty as soon as the shingle is nailed down.
