Reno County is not dying✨ Three days at the Kansas Housing Conference in Overland Park confirmed it!

Invited by the Hutchinson Community Foundation, one of our team members joined a group of community members who are extremely passionate about housing in Reno County. We are honored to be in the room with a group of people doing incredible things for this community!

People from across the state kept saying that they see what’s happening here in Hutchinson and Reno County, and they’re paying attention. Building something worth having takes more than one set of hands!

Every piece of lumber gets handled more than once before it becomes part of the house. 🔨

Sorted, measured, set in place, and nailed down with the next board already waiting. It is slow work and important work, but it is the reason the frame holds the way it should!

Downtown Hutchinson has good bones!

When we walk into an old building, we don’t see the water stains or the dropped ceilings. We see the structure underneath: the foundation, the framing, the walls put up by people who expected them to last.

More people are noticing it too. The Meyer Landmark opened a block from our office this year. Up and down Main Street, local favorites like Sage River Market, Apron Strings, and the Anchor Inn are about to get new neighbors: the 80s Arcade & Neighborhood Lounge opens this winter, with more on the way.

The work was always right, but the name wasn’t. Luxe Kansas got us started. But somewhere along the way it stopped fitting. We were a construction company with deep roots in Reno County, building homes for real families and restoring buildings that mattered to this community.

A house is not really finished until someone moves in and makes it theirs, and you can see it in the small things, like a dog who has already claimed a favorite spot on the stairs. We built this one from the ground up, every stair and cabinet and beam decided on months before anyone stood in this kitchen, and now it is a home where someone cooks dinner and a dog waits by the door!

That is what happens when a house is built around the people who will actually live in it. It stops looking like a build and starts looking like a life!
