More times than not. The smallest of ignored and/or overlooked details lead to costly problems.
In this case, it was an improperly executed flashing detail after a roof covering replacement. Sure, it didn't show up for 6-7 years after the shingles were replaced, but it wouldn't have happened at all if the eave flashing would have been properly installed.

I highly recommend having completed repairs inspected by a third party inspector. It will be money well spent even if everything was done right...

Challenging would be an understatement on this project!
Between the nonstop rain and the agreed-upon deadline… I still got it done!

- Installed new front and rear entry doors
- Replaced wood trim behind the chimney
- Patched squirrel damage on the gable trim with sheet metal
- Caulked around all windows and cladding
- Repainted the entire exterior

Always satisfying to see the transformation after putting in the work! 💥
