We’ve made it past halfway! Six days down, six to go in our 12-day Fit Body Fit Mind Challenge. Every day, we’re putting in an hour of movement — riding, walking, running, lifting, stretching — not just for physical health, but for mental wellbeing too.
This past Friday night was a perfect reminder of what this challenge is all about. Our community bike ride and walk from Wagner HQ was an awesome chance to get outside, move together, and share some time connecting before wrapping up with a happy hour. Thanks to everyone who joined - it was a great time spent off the job and out of the office together.
And today, we’ve got a special check-in from the man who inspired this whole challenge. Rupert Guinness — who originally took on a 12-day Virtual Race Across America effort back in 2020 that sparked our first challenge — is sending encouragement from China, where he’s with the Australian rowing team ahead of the World Championships.

As we keep pushing through the back half of the challenge, remember why we’re doing this. In the construction industry, mental health struggles are far too common, and the su***de rate is alarmingly high. This challenge is about raising awareness, supporting each other, and making space for the conversation around mental health.
Please don’t forget the resources available:
- Dial "988" for the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7
- NRCA mental health resources – tools designed specifically for our industry
Stay strong, keep logging your hours, and let’s finish these next six days even stronger than we started.
