This project uses a custom black fill color to blend with other stones on site and change the overall aesthetic of the stone. The customization of our stone through fill color makes it unique among other American stones.

60 years of American travertine. Same stone. Same source. Same standard of craft.

What started in 1966 and became Idaho Travertine is still quarrying and fabricating domestic stone today as Yellowstone Rock, from the same volcanic region in Idaho and Montana.

We're proud of where we came from and we're just getting started.

Twenty-six years ago today, the Conference Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints opened its doors in Salt Lake City. Our team, then known as Idaho Travertine, quarried and fabricated over 300,000 square feet of granite to clad the exterior of one of the largest auditoriums ever built.

The Church required stone to match the same granite used to build the adjacent Salt Lake Temple more than a century earlier. The quarry permit was contested. The extraction window was seasonal. The deadline was fixed.

We delivered 300,000 square feet of finished stone in under 24 months. Domestic sourcing and in-house fabrication made it possible then. It is still how we work today.

Doing what others would deem impossible is the legacy we are built on and the standard we still work to match.

AT&T's Whitacre Tower in downtown Dallas has been clad in our Continental Buff Travertine since it was built in 1984. When it needed restoration 40 years later, our stone matched seamlessly.

The restoration covered 320,000 sq ft of exterior stone on the primary tower. Replacement panels were cut directly from field measurements using the same stone from our quarry in Southeast Idaho.

It's a great example of why domestic, American-quarried travertine matters. When you need to match stone decades later, you need a consistent quarry that's still here.
