Six local semifinalists have been named for the 2024 Hormel Entrepreneurship Competition. Those still in the running for up to $25,000 to start up or expand an existing business include applicants from McCook, Indianola, Imperial and Champion. This year all the competitors are looking to expand existing businesses. Final presentations will be made April 19.

Semifinalists include: Frank Bonini, McCook, Heartland Flags; Mayson Tyerman, Imperial, Tyerman Turf Care; Kristine Stritt, Bartley, Country Chill (McCook); Kelsey Owens, Champion, Champion Grass Fed Beef; Emily Young, McCook, Elevate Wellness, LLC; and Rodney and Kristeena Brittain, Indianola, RPK Sprinklers and Lawncare.

Tyerman Turf Care is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position as Company Manager! TTC is a multi-service lawn care company located in Imperial, NE servicing Wauneta, Benkelman, Imperial, and Champion, NE.

Since 2019, TTC has been dedicated to growth and expansion. We are committed to personal growth, team development, quality service, and integrity.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Service properties (all services: mowing, etc)
- Basic mechanic work and maintenance on equipment
- Complete estimates
- Property scheduling via Yardbook
- Manage team

- Works well in team environment

Yesterday, TTC had a record breaking day! Between Tristan, Kaylie, Tiffany, and Mason, we serviced 21 properties, completed 4 estimates, 1 aeration, and the first day for 5 new lawns‼️

Friday, June 2nd 🏆
✅ Most yards completed in one day (21!)
✅ Most grass loaded in the trailer
✅ Most team members working in one day (4!)

Not everyday do we do this much, but with all the rain, we’ve had to push back yards. Regardless, nothin’ we can’t handle— we got’er done 💪☔️
