This summer, we’ve spoken with a lot of homeowners who are trying to get repairs, drywall work, and painting completed before moving into a new home.
Unfortunately, some have also been given misleading advice simply to get them booked as quickly as possible.
The truth is, the order of the work matters. Painting should not begin before leaks, moisture problems, drywall damage, or other underlying issues have been properly addressed. Starting too soon can lead to wasted money, damaged finishes, and work that has to be completed twice.
That’s why I wanted to put together this guide. It explains the best order to handle repairs, drywall, interior painting, exterior work, and final touch-ups before moving in.
Our goal is not just to book the job but also to give homeowners the information they need to make the right decision for their property.
