This is just one of the reasons we like to include pollinator plants on each installation. Feed the pollinators!

It's Pollinator Week! Include host plants in your pollinator gardens! These host plants are the nurseries of the pollinator garden, where the eggs and immature insects grow before metamorphosis into butterflies and moths.

Some examples include:
Dill, fennel, and parsley- Eastern black swallowtail
Cassias- sulfur butterfly
Hollyhock- painted lady
Passion vines- Gulf fritillary butterfly
Milkweed- monarch butterfly
Bean plant- long-tailed skipper
Pawpaw- zebra swallowtail See less

Rudbeckia flowers are blooming 🌻 Rudbeckia is native to North America, blooming from mid-summer to fall, and are a major source for nectar for local bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects. Thanks to their evolutionary history in the American South, these resilient, sun-loving plants are exceptionally well-adapted to the local heat, humidity, and varying soil conditions. Once established, they can tolerate both dry spells and moist soils, making them a low-maintenance staple for Louisiana flowerbeds & gardens. Oh, and they’re a reliable perennial 💚

We managed to wrap up this new flower bed installation and living privacy fence (not pictured) in Ponchatoula last week while dodging the rain.

We are booked for the Summer of 2026 and won't be able to take on new clients until August 2026. For those I've recently met with, you are included on the summer schedule.
