Blessed to have connected with Dave from HD Paver Sealing through social media. We’ve been talking for about a month, and when he had three big jobs come up over two days, he reached out and said, “Come over. I’ll take care of you, and you can learn.”
I said absolutely.
So I made the 3.5-hour drive from the Space Coast all the way across Florida to Port Charlotte to work alongside him, and man, it was worth every mile.
Dave is considered one of the GOATs of paver sealing in Southwest Florida, and after working with him, I can see why. Today I learned a ton about turbo nozzle techniques, wet sanding, prep work, and the little details that separate a good job from a professional one. Tomorrow, we get into the actual sealing process.
One of the things I’m most grateful for in this industry is meeting people who are willing to share their knowledge instead of gatekeeping it. As someone still growing and learning in this business, having someone with Dave’s experience willing to take the time to teach me means a lot.
And on top of all that, the dude is hilarious and a blast to work with. 😂
