🚨 Winter Storm Safety Reminder from Griffco Electric 🚨

With the upcoming winter storm, a lot of folks will be firing up generators. Before you do, please remember:

✔️ NEVER plug a generator into a wall outlet — this can backfeed the utility lines and put linemen and neighbors’ lives at risk.
✔️ Use a transfer switch or interlock kit designed for your panel.
✔️ Keep generators outside and away from doors & windows to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
✔️ Don’t overload cords or run them under rugs/carpets.

If you're unsure whether your setup is safe, just ask — we’re happy to help make sure everything is done correctly. Stay warm, stay safe, and look out for your neighbors during the storm!
