🌲 What You Don’t See Behind the Scenes of Tree Work 🌲

When you see a tree crew show up, you see the chainsaws, climbers, lift, chipper and equipment getting the job done.

What you don't always see is everything that happens between the jobs.

Today wasn't spent cutting trees. It was spent chasing an electrical issue through our lift, testing circuits, tracing wires, finding connections and getting equipment ready for the next job.

Tree equipment lives a hard life. It gets covered in sawdust, dragged through rough terrain, exposed to weather, vibrated for hours and worked around branches and debris. Eventually, things need attention.

And when something goes down, the work doesn't stop when we leave the jobsite. Maintenance, repairs, inspections, sharpening chains, greasing equipment and troubleshooting are all part of keeping a professional tree operation moving.

A lot goes into making sure that when we pull into your driveway, our equipment is ready and our crew can safely get to work.

Timber Shores Tree Co. is looking for a dependable tree service groundsman/subcontractor.

This is a 1099 subcontractor position, NOT a W-2 employee position. Work will be project-based and as needed. Hours will vary depending on workload, weather, and project schedule. Full-time hours are not guaranteed.

Duties may include:
• Dragging brush
• Running ropes
• Feeding chipper
• Bucking logs
• Assisting with tree removals
• Operating equipment (preferred but not required)

Requirements:
• Reliable transportation
• Physically capable of performing demanding outdoor work
• Own liability insurance
• Tree work, logging, landscaping, or equipment experience preferred
• Dependable and able to show up when scheduled

Work is primarily in the Indian River, Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Alanson, and Cheboygan areas.
