The order matters more than people expect on a new build. Shingles and windows before the cold means the inside crew can run drywall, trim and flooring through a rainy autumn without the schedule depending on the forecast. The roof is our own crew too, so getting dried in does not mean waiting on a roofer to have an opening.

This is the week of a kitchen that nobody photographs. The paper stays on the counters until the last of the trim and the touch-up paint is done, because one dropped tool on a quartz edge is a whole new slab. Appliances go in last for the same reason.

We go the extra mile for our customers to make sure their home is cared for throughout the entire remodeling process.

A bath is the remodel that cares the least what the weather is doing. Rough-in, tile, vanity, wiring, all of it happens inside, which is why baths and basements are what we book for November through February while exterior work has slowed down.

This is a parquet design, which adds a lot of character and personality to a home. 🏠

Every square has to land on the lines or the run walks off angle by the time it reaches the far wall, so it goes slower than a plank floor and it has to happen before the trim is finished. That kind of sequencing is easier to hold through winter, when there is no exterior work pulling the crew outside.

This gets brushed, a few feet at a time, by somebody who has done it for years so there's no need for the additional time and cost of using tape. We're grateful our guys are experienced in this and do such good work for our customers. 🥲

The reason to start a garage in the summer is the concrete. Pour it now and it cures in warm ground, then the roof goes on and the inside work carries into the cold months.
