Yesterday was one of those days that reminds you why networking, learning, and community development matter so much. 🙌🏽🏗️
Started the day at the ULI Intern Day surrounded by some of the brightest young professionals and interns working with major development companies and corporations across Indianapolis. One of the biggest reasons I attended was to bring along a Kelley School of Business student who’s hungry to grow, network, and find opportunities within the industry. I truly believe in opening doors and helping the next generation get connected early. 🤝🏽
The second reason I attended was to scout talent and better understand what future leaders in development, construction, and real estate are looking for. As I continue building and growing future companies and developments, it was valuable to meet young professionals, learn how they think, and understand what qualities stand out when recruiting strong talent.
One of the most impactful parts of the day was touring an active downtown Indianapolis redevelopment project where an old men’s holding facility/prison is being transformed into 213 apartments. Seeing adaptive reuse happen in real time was inspiring and also provided valuable ideas and perspective for the future old women’s prison redevelopment project we are working toward. It’s amazing seeing how spaces that once held pain and confinement can be reimagined into places for housing, opportunity, and community growth. 🏢➡️🏡
Ended the evening at the Indy Chamber Fast Forward event, connecting with incredible business leaders and organizations across Indianapolis. Major shoutout to the Lilly Endowment for being a huge supporter of initiatives and developments that continue moving our city forward. Their impact across Indianapolis is truly significant.
Phenomenal day full of learning, networking, development, and vision. The future of Indianapolis is bright. 🚀
