🎡 It's the final weekend of this year's Indiana State Fair!

REA is proud to have designed the Indiana State Fair Gateway Sign in celebration of the Fair’s 150th anniversary in 2006. The 70-foot-long composition features monumental fair icons and a programmable LED lighting display that brings the gateway to life at night.

Nearly 20 years later, it remains a memorable welcome to one of Indiana’s favorite traditions. Stop by and see it before the Fair wraps up!

Our studio is deeply saddened by the devastating flooding and damage caused by recent weather events across our Midwest region. Our thoughts and support are with the communities beginning the long process of recovery, and with the emergency responders, volunteers, public works teams, and residents working together through this difficult time.

For those that are able, please consider donating to the American Red Cross and Indianapolis Flood Relief Fund. 🔗 https://www.redcross.org/about-us/news-and-events/news/2026/red-cross-helps-as-storms-hit-illinois--indiana.html

A new logo rooted in nature, and a brand identity designed to grow with the mission.

As part of the Hayes Arboretum campus master plan, REA led a complete brand refresh to help position the arboretum as a regional leader in forestry management, conservation, and education.

The new logo evolves Hayes Arboretum’s existing identity through three mosaic-style leaves inspired by native trees found throughout the arboretum. The mosaic represents unity, connection, and transformation, bringing individual elements together to create something whole, much like Hayes Arboretum’s mission of connecting people to nature.

A timeless serif typeface nods to the arboretum’s deep history, while the new brand guide provides a framework for carrying the identity consistently across future materials.

We believe that great design does not just create a recognizable mark, it helps tell the story of a place and the people it serves. 🌿

Construction is moving forward on the Market Street and Capitol Avenue intersection in front of the Indiana Statehouse! 🏗️

The contractor has completed the east half of the Illinois Street intersection, and the current phase is focused on a new raised, tabletop intersection at Capitol Avenue. Work includes underground utilities, curb realignment with corner bumpouts and rain gardens, concrete base work, sidewalks, and paver installation.

To keep IndyGo bus routes moving through the intersection, this phase is being built in two halves. Traffic and bus operations are transitioning onto the first completed half so construction can begin on the second half directly adjacent to the Statehouse.

With several phases still ahead, overall project completion is anticipated in Fall 2027. Stay tuned as this important gateway takes shape!
