A vacant bank turned public safety facility. 🚧

R. Chavez Construction is serving as General Contractor for the new Health & Hospital Corporation (HHC) Police Department and EMS Medic 10 station in Indianapolis.

The existing Chase Bank branch was stripped down and rebuilt with a new building envelope, new systems, and site improvements.

Once completed later this year, Health & Hospital Police officers serving HHC, Eskenazi Hospital, and Marion County public health facilities will have a dedicated headquarters of their own. The addition of Medic 10 will also put an ambulance and crew directly in the Avondale Meadows neighborhood.

We're proud to help give an existing space a new purpose and build a facility that will serve this community for years to come.

Today we're celebrating the sons and daughters who make our team proud. Whether they're little enough to still want a bedtime story, competing on the field or court, or already walking across the graduation stage, one thing will never change -- being their biggest fans. ❤

After the original Riley Shelter House was lost to a fire in 2022, the City of Greenfield set out to create a new gathering place that would honor its history while serving future generations.

R. Chavez Construction was proud to help bring that vision to life.

One of the project's most meaningful features is the floor-to-ceiling fireplace, built using granite salvaged from the original shelter house. Throughout the building, locally sourced Bedford limestone showcases Indiana craftsmanship and strengthens the connection between the new shelter and the community it serves.

We're honored to have partnered with the City of Greenfield on a space that celebrates the past while creating opportunities for new memories for years to come.
