As we wrap up Construction Safety Week, we want to highlight some of the ways we showed appreciation to our team! We handed out safety-themed gifts like t-shirts, drinks, and cooling towels. As we continue to celebrate Construction Safety Week, today we’re highlighting trucking safety—because it all starts right here in our yard.

Our drivers wear proper PPE to stand out amongst all the moving machinery throughout the yard. Drivers also make sure to use the properly rated chains to ensure their safety, the safety of the pieces, and your family's safety out on the road while they're on their way to job sites. Drivers will secure the pieces with chains and edge protectors to ensure a safe delivery of our products. Pre-trip inspections are also conducted by the drivers, they check for; tire wear, damage, and make sure all lights are in working order.

It takes a team effort to keep our trucks and the motoring public safe, and that's why it's an important part of our safety culture!

Josh has been with Coreslab Structures for nearly 17 years. He began his career as a production laborer, spent several years as a production foreman, and in 2019 took over the Quality Control department.
