YAF Indy is a group of people who share a passion for design and the role of architecture in and around the city of Indianapolis. We are recent graduates, emerging professionals, and recently registered architects. YAF Indy hosts monthly events that include networking, job hunting, social events, building tours, round-table discussions, design competitions, and whatever else we find interesting an
d relevant in the architectural scene around Indianapolis. Officially, we’re a committee funded by the American Institute of Architects, Indianapolis chapter. Our agenda and events are planned by the YAF Committee, however we encourage members to make suggestions and get involved in the process. There is no membership fee; events are always free and you don’t have to be an AIA member to attend. The group is tailored for architects and designers ranging in age from recent graduates to architects registered ten years or less, but we don’t card and anyone is welcome. It’s a great way to network with other local architects, find out what people are doing at other firms, and a perfect excuse for getting out of the office and not working late.
