Summary of Responsibilities
The superintendent is responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings so that we are completing jobs as required. The Superintendent will work with the general contractor daily to ensure work is completed within the required timeframes. The Superintendent is responsible for leading and managing subcontractors and employees on the jobsite. Good communication between the general contractor, subcontractors, vendors, and employees is primary in executing the projects effectively and efficiently. The superintendent must always make the best decision for the company
Responsibilities
Supervision and Management
• Work Supervision – Oversee construction efforts at specific worksites
• Coordinate with General Contractor and Subcontractors on job/project sites according to priorities and plans
• Follow up before close of Job/Project utilizing an Internal “Punch List” to ensure completion of work by all workers and Contractors
• Attend Project Progress Meetings
• Ensure Job/Project proceeds in a timely manner and adheres to deadlines on Job/Project
• Trouble-shoot and identify construction problems; offer timely and safe solutions
• Make necessary suggestions and recommendations for repair
• Prevent fines and interruptions by complying with and enforcing codes
• Guarantee all safety precautions are quality standards are met
• Report on progress to General Manager
• Display & utilize the critical ability to look critically at craftsmanship and anticipate problems
• Track job costs to ensure adherence to budget
Estimating
• Assist in the preparation of Construction Budget utilizing drawings/plans and specifications to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
• Assist in the creation, preparation and submission of bid packages
• Obtain pricing from Vendors and Supplier by specifying materials and labor required
• Obtain best pricing for quality of product and or service as it relates to the Project
• Confer with General contractor on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
Planning & Scheduling
• Anticipate and adjust plan for next step on Jobs/Projects
• Schedule delivery of needed materials
Communication
• Communicate with Clients
• Consult with internal partners to formulate plans to resolve problems
• Confer with General Manager as issues arise
• Specifications
Work Experience:
• Construction experience required of 5+ years; will consider less experience for right candidate
• Must have strong communication and computer skills

Salary: $40,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year
