Customer's air conditioner would not respond to the thermostat. After performing a low-voltage diagnostic and verifying proper power throughout the control circuit, I determined the thermostat had failed.
A new thermostat was installed, tested, and the system was restored to normal operation. The customer is back up and running with reliable cooling! ✅

🔧❄️ HVAC Tip of the Day! ❄️🔧
One of the easiest ways to identify the newer R-32 and R-454B systems is by looking for the refrigerant leak detection sensor installed inside the evaporator coil cabinet. These sensors are now required on many A2L refrigerant systems and help detect refrigerant leaks for added safety.

Older R-22 and R-410A systems typically do not have these sensors installed.

As the HVAC industry continues transitioning to newer refrigerants, technicians and homeowners will start seeing more changes like these on new equipment.
