Most people never get to see how an MRI machine makes its way into a building.
For this clinic project, a section of the exterior wall was designed with a removable storefront window so the MRI machine could be brought in at the end of construction. Once the window was removed, a crane was used to place the MRI directly into its new home.
The installation itself is just one step, but it reflects the level of planning that goes into healthcare projects, not only for day one but for the entire life of the building. The room, the building, and the installation process all have to work together long before the equipment arrives on site.
