We are starting to see armyworm activity in lawns. Look for caterpillars feeding on grass blades.
They can do a lot of damage in a short period of time. Need to be treated as soon as you see them. Legacy Lawns/Inman Ks.

We are starting to see brown patch fungus in lawns. High Humidity and wet conditions are causing the outbreak. Cultural practices are to mow higher and don't over water. Brown patch attacks grass blades shriveling and turning them brown. More noticeable after mowing, you will see large brown areas in lawn. Fungicides can be applied in severe cases. We at Legacy Lawns of Inman, have started applying fertilizer, crabgrass preventer and w**d spray to lawns. Time for Spring clean-up, make sure your lawn is ready. Turn on sprinkler systems to water in pre-emergents(crabgrass preventer).
