The amount of love and support this man showed me over the years is unbelievable. He was always so encouraging to me as I was beginning my walk with God. Gave me so much words of encouragement in many areas of life. He was always happy to see me and idk if I ever seen him in a bad mood. He will truly be missed here but I know he was welcomed home with open arms. Free from all the physical pain he had been dealing with. Literally all I ever knew this man to want was for his family and everyone he came in contact with to know the love of God. I pray that I have the strength he has show in his last years of life. Doc I love you brother and I pray we get to meet again.
Dr. Steven Leroy Dill, 68, passed away on October 17, 2026. He was born on June 9, 1958, to James Dill and Sherma Mae (McCoy) Dill.
Steven’s life included many years of service to others through medicine and law enforcement. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma and practiced medicine in Pryor for 29 years, beginning in 1997. He also practiced in Tulsa and spent two years teaching at OU Medical. In addition to his medical career, Steven served as a reserve police officer and as a reserve sheriff’s deputy for Mayes County.
In 2014, Steven married Kristi Fink in Pryor, Oklahoma. He enjoyed riding motorcycles with the Wild Pigeons Group, cherishing the freedom of the open road and the friendships he made along the way. Above all, Steven treasured time spent with his best friend and brother; Boyd and his two other brothers; Gary and Wes and family, creating memories filled with love and laughter. Steven also treasured spending time with his grandkids, teaching them and watching them play sports. His beloved dogs, Kimber and Kandy, also held a special place in his heart, bringing him endless joy and companionship. Steven gave his life to the Lord in 2014, and from that moment forward, his faith became the foundation of his life. He was truly on fire for God, faithfully serving and sharing His love with others. Every Wednesday night, he devoted his time to working with the children at church, a ministry that meant so much to him. Despite enduring numerous surgeries and ongoing knee problems, Steven never allowed his physical struggles to stand in the way of his faith. Rain or shine, through pain and hardship, he could always be found in church on Sunday mornings. His unwavering devotion to the Lord and his heart for serving others were a beautiful testimony to the faith he lived every day.
Steven will be remembered for his years of service, his love for his family, and the memories he shared with those closest to him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Kristi Fink, of the home; son, Christopher Dill of Bothell, Washington; daughters, Jessica Strange and husband Scott of Jefferson City, Tennessee, Amy Gwartney and husband Eric of Pryor, Oklahoma, Molly Waltman and husband Jake of Pryor, Oklahoma, and Shande Fink of Pryor, Oklahoma; brothers, Boyd Dill of Pryor, Oklahoma, Gary Dill and wife Bobbie of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and Wesley Dill and wife Laurie of Prescott Valley, Arizona; nine grandchildren; Chesney, Colton, Ivy, Bently, Ashlynn, Locke, Gunner, Knox, and Jennings; and many other relatives and friends.
