A dramatic entryway transformation that proves good design is in the details. From dark and dated to bright and breathtaking!

The original space had all the makings of its time, dark paneling and a simple, small entryway. Our client wanted something that felt expansive and curated.

The goal was to create a space that immediately felt open, bright, and inviting.
We:
✅ Reimaged the flow by removing dividing walls
✅ Replaced the old wallpaper with clean, crisp paint
✅ Updated the original flooring for a seamless, polished look
✅ Swapped out the old doors and lighting for modern fixtures
✅ Introduced that stunning natural wood texture as a feature element

This is proof that even a small transitional space can be one of the biggest showstoppers in the house. Are you team "Modern Warmth" or team "Bring Back the Vintage Panel"? (Kidding on that last one!) 😂

Happy Birthday to the man at the helm of Open Meadow Builders, Rob!

Rob is the rare breed of owner who is just as comfortable navigating a spreadsheet or Quickbooks file as he is walking a job site. He spent years in the field getting his hands dirty, so when he’s crunching numbers in the office, he actually knows the "why" behind every cell in those spreadsheets.

We may make fun of the fact that he has a spreadsheet for everything, but we know he’s a builder at heart. And when he isn't managing project timelines, he’s likely grilling, bike-riding, camping, or being a devoted "girl dad" (who we all know are the real bosses of the house).

Thanks for leading the way with a level head and a lot of Excel formulas, Rob! Hope it’s a great one.

We recently took the whole crew out to the lanes at Kings Dining & Entertainment to celebrate a special “Ownerversary." While this company has been a staple in the community for over two decades, it’s been four incredible years since we stepped into ownership, and we couldn't be prouder of the milestones we’ve hit since then.

Our team works incredibly hard every day to transform homes and manage complex projects with precision. Seeing everyone swap their tool belts for bowling shoes and enjoy some well-deserved downtime (and maybe a little friendly competition) was the perfect way to mark the occasion. (Let the record show that Gayle now holds both the axe throwing and bowling titles. 😆)

A huge thank you to our dedicated team and our amazing clients for being part of this journey. We’re looking forward to many more years of building excellence together!

Help us wish a massive Happy Birthday to Jay!

Jay is one of our Lead Carpenters and has been with Open Meadow Builders longer than just about anyone. He’s the guy who has seen it all, built it all, and somehow kept us all laughing through the entire process.

Whether he’s mentoring the newer guys, nailing a perfect finish, or handling client needs, Jay is a one-of-a-kind team player. When he’s not making us laugh, he’s busy being a top-tier dad at home.

Jay doesn’t have to try to be the life of the party; it’s just who he is. Thanks for the years of hard work, the great attitude, and for always having the team’s back.
