🎄 These ladies are the heartbeat of the operation. They pay our bills, keep our field workers paid, assist our project managers with everything from ordering tools and materials to reading the fine print in contracts.

August 29th, 2005 Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast. New Orleans got the most press, but the eye hit Bay St. Louis and Waveland, Mississippi.
The devastation is hard to describe. Imagine an area from Portsmouth, Ohio to Charleston, WV, several miles wide, completely destroyed! One of our customers in Bay St Louis, that manufactures activated carbon for city water filtration asked for our help to rebuild the plant. Local supply of clean water is dependent on carbon filters. Our workers responded and we planned the 3-4 month job. It was an experience with too many stories to tell here. After driving this route for years, never needing a map, i was lost several times. No buildings, no street signs, no landmarks. It was eerie. Staying in campers, power from generators only. We hired a cook with experience feeding soldiers, cooking with propane grills. Taking showers in converted truck wash station, with no hot water. Evening entertainment was campfires and playing with baby alligators.
The best thank you we received was when a young lady told us, that all Hope was gone, her job was gone, her home gone. Then she saw our camper caravan pull in and she knew it would be ok. ☺️

Finally, on this Labor Day weekend, we at Mi-De-Con want to give our thanks to the workers that were willing to go help our fellow Americans in need. It should always be that way in the USA. 🇺🇸

5 years ago we completed the Highlawn Elementary School in time for fall classes, even with the challenges of the Covid pandemic causing material and labor shortages! Thanks to Tri-State Building Trades Craft Unions and all involved for their extreme efforts. Beautiful school!

Thanks to all who made the dedication of our new pipe fab shop a memorable occasion. There were many who worked tirelessly to make it happen. We appreciate the support of Kentucky State Officials, County Judge Executives, Mayors, FIVECO, TriState Building Trades, Pipefitters Local 248, who supplied refreshments and snacks, and Kentucky Farmers Bank, who has always been there for our growth spurts. Thanks to all mentioned and many more involved!
