What do you do on a 100 degree day when the customer asks you to get power to where 2 new driveway post lights will be installed?…

You hand dig 90 feet of trench and lay conduit, hammer drill through the house, fish wire to the electric panel, and get it all backfilled in 8 hours.

This was after spending 2 hours installing soffit lights.

*I would have used a machine to dig but there were irrigation lines, control wires, and a spectrum drop to avoid.

Set another utility pole today at Iron Mountain Lake, but this time I was solo, since my help had to go back to school. This one was a little more challenging than the one we set on Monday considering how close it was to the house and I didn’t have any help. But the job went smooth and was completed within 2.5 hours, including the anchoring and removal of the former pole!

*The customer is planning on installing the meter base himself! He just needed us to set the pole and anchor.

Some work we don’t do as often as we would like, but today, we set a 25’ utility pole and installed a 200 amp overhead service on it. We also installed a guy anchor for the pole per Ameren requirements.

Trenched and installed new conduit and wire for a septic pump which has not operated correctly for years, according to the customer. The former wire was compromised and had shorted out somewhere between the house and the tank.
