Mammoth Sunflower
Humble brag bc i finally grew a mammoth sunflower. I’m 5ft tall and this guy is reaching 10ft and growing more each day. Next step is to place a mesh bag over the bloom to prevent the birds and Japanese beetles from eating it. You can follow along for more sunflower updates on my Insta: rmm_home

Snake Plant Caught Fire, Can She Be Saved?
I hope this is allowed as I'm not really looking for "diagnosis".. we know the problem. My mother had a "little" accidental fire. She says she put an incense stick too close to her snake plant and it lit the plant on fire. As you can see in the picture, the fire spread. There used to be a thick, padded cotton cloth on the table, and that went up quick.

The plant looks surprisingly good for being in the middle of a fire. Especially since my mom didnt tell me this happened until about 4 weeks had passed, and she hasn't touched anything in that corner besides vacuuming the ash.. I doubt she has touched or watered the plant.

Can the plant be saved? What's your advice for her best chance at recovery?

What HAPPENED????

5 year old monstera, regular watering (allowing 2 inches to dry out completely, good drainage) plenty of indirect sunlight, SW facing BIG windows. Plant was green, healthy, no signs of illness literally last week, so rapid decline. Any ideas folks? Thank you.

Is it normal for a plant to deteriorate after repotting?
I purchased this monster off FB marketplace, it was taking too much space in the previous owners living room. They had it about 12 feet away from an east facing window and it was THRIVING. He said he had had it sitting in that same spot for 10 years and only watered it when he remembered. The old pot was made of plastic and the roots had taken every last bit of space it would occupy. So I decided to give those roots more room. I fear however I made a grave mistake and gave them TOO much room. The new windows you see in this picture are east and south facing, lots of natural light. I thought it would thrive. It’s clearly not. I also used an organic potting mix and added probably 20% perlite, and all the orchid bark I had left which wasn’t more than 5 cups.
I suspect the problem is a combination of shock from moving from an environment that it was in for 10 years, shock from way more light, and probably has too much room in the pot. I don’t think it’s over watered because I watered once when I repotted and didn’t again for 2 weeks when the top 3 inches of soil was dry. But that’s not a definitive way of checking so who knows. Any help would be greatly appreciated
