ACCE Program Highlight: Kennesaw State University – Preparing Tomorrow's Construction Leaders

Kennesaw State University's Bachelor of Science in Construction Management is one of the largest construction management programs in the United States. The department offers both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Construction Management, along with undergraduate certificates and a minor, creating multiple pathways for students entering or advancing within the profession.

The curriculum develops the technical expertise and leadership skills required in today's construction industry. Students learn project planning, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, safety, project controls, contract administration, building systems, and construction technologies, while learning to manage teams, communicate effectively, and solve complex project challenges.

As part of its mission to promote and support quality construction education programs, ACCE has a Professional Development Certification Program to recognize industry-related professional development programs that meet ACCE certification criteria. This includes programs offered by Educational Institutions, Industry Associations, and private companies. Interested providers may obtain an application for certification from the ACCE President. Once the application is approved, the provider will be given the certification standards and asked to submit a Self-Evaluation Study. Upon successful review of the Self-Evaluation Study, the program provider will be issued a certificate and letter indicating that the program has met ACCE's certification criteria.
