Construction Management and related degree programs accredited by the American Council of Construction Education (ACCE) provide an excellent foundation for students pursuing careers in industrial and commercial construction along with residential home building and heavy construction projects such as roadways, bridges, and airports.
The construction field is an ever-evolving discipline that encompasses all critical aspects of a building’s life cycle and the activities involved in construction projects. Career paths in construction include cost estimation, scheduling, project management, and facility management. Additionally, construction requires planning, coordination, financing, and controlling all tasks before and during a project.

There are more than 100 ACCE-accredited programs across the United States and Canada

Who is eligible to become an ACCE Sustaining Association member?
A construction industry-related professional association, society, institute, or foundation can influence the educational experience of future construction leaders by becoming an ACCE Sustaining Association Member.

Sustaining Association Members can influence the educational experience of future construction leaders through their representatives’ participation on the ACCE Board of Trustees and by networking with other industry members and academic leaders to promote quality construction education.

Did you know!?
Magic 8 Ball (as we know it today) was created by two Cincinnatians: Abe Bookman (or Buchmann) and Max E. Levinson. However, the Magic 8 Ball got its start from another Cincinnati resident, Albert Carter. Carter became interested in mysticism thanks to his mother, Laura C. Cooper Pruden, a medium from Price Hill. He tried to patent an original idea for a toy similar to the Magic 8 Ball but with simple “yes” or “no” answers. He applied for a patent on his Syco-Slate “liquid-filled dice agitator” in 1944 (US2452730A). The patent listed Bookman (filed as Buchmann), Levinson, and Julius Mintz as co-filers. Later, Levinson and Bookman ultimately patented the actual Magic 8 Ball in its classic round shape with additional answers. Colorful crafting clay, Play-Doh, and the card game Uno were also invented in Cincinnati.
