Well TGIF!!!!! The wife comes home tonight and little does she know, Ive bought myself a plane ticket out of town. Im going to pick her up and she can drive the car home along with the kids. That will teach her to leave me for a week!!

Ok. Calm down, it was a joke. Im not going anywhere. I will still be here working, installing roofs that last. If you see me with a black eye next week just know my wife only seen the first part of this and not the last. 🤣🤣

You know what pi**es me off more than anything, is when roofing companies pray for storm related damage to other’s homes. Like why? Are you that desperate for work you have to pray for other’s homes to get damaged? We dont want any damage happening to any home. We dont infiltrate your neighborhood and your community when storms come through. We're not knocking on your door saying we can see damage from the road and we can take care of it. Instead we’re praying for everyone's roof to be in tip top shape before and after the storm. And most importantly we will always be here for the people and for the community before, during and after any storm. We're a roofing company everyday all day not just after storms.

Let's talk about the word LIFETIME and how roofing contractors fool you by making it sound so good.

Important Caveat
Most "lifetime warranties" are actually limited lifetime warranties, meaning:
They cover defects in materials or workmanship, and majority of the time they will find something wrong that doesnt fall on their improperly installed roofs, so as the homeowner you will be charged for said repair.
They do not cover normal wear and tear, abuse, neglect, accidents, storms, or improper installation. You might be lucky to get the same company that offered the lifetime warranty on materials and labor to even come back out. Reason why is because they dont stand behind their work or products, they'd rather use LIFETIME terminology to convey to you that you're getting a roof that will last forever.
"Lifetime" is usually defined as the life of the product or the period you own it.
For roofing, when homeowners hear "lifetime warranty," it almost always means a limited lifetime manufacturer warranty! A good workmanship warranty from the contractor is just as important as the shingle warranty.

So dont fall victim to the word LIFETIME, because we never know how long a lifetime is and neither does a honest roofing company.

🚨 PRAY FOR ME 🚨

My wife just left for Chicago and somehow thought it was a good idea to leave me alone with the kids AND a roofing company to run. FOR A WHOLE WEEK!!

So if you see:
✅ A roof getting installed
✅ Kids wearing mismatched clothes
✅ Chicken nuggets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
✅ Me answering roofing calls from the playground
✅️ kids arguing in the background

Just know I'm doing my best.

For the next few days, Islands A Ton Roofing LLC will be operating under the "survive and advance" business model.

If anyone needs a roof estimate, that's fine, we will handle those and repairs.

If anyone knows how to get marker off walls, remove glitter from a dog, or explain why a toddler is crying because they got the banana they asked for... call me immediately.
