Let us always remember the fallen of this tragic day and let us also remember the way we all pulled together to support them and theirs on that day and do so today and everyday. One local news story from that evening that stands out in my mind is of the reporter interviewing people "on the street" in Burlington and this young man said " I came to give blood for the survivors, but there were no survivors, so I came to the church to pray. I just didn't know what else to do." and he just slowly ascended the few steps into the church.

I lost one of my most favorite women in the world this week. I've waited to see her family share the news and now I can share as well.
Celia was an amazing woman on so many fronts! She taught me so much and influenced me personally and professionally in just being herself day to day! She always looked fragile but she was physically and emotionally so strong! I am honored to have known her and count her among circle! I will miss her so much but will draw strength from my memories of time spent with her! I am beyond thankful that I got to spend some time with her last week!! In the obituary the family suggests planting a flower in Celia's memory in our own garden. I will be planting a pink Anemone (sometimes called Windflower) in my garden in memory of Celia! I first saw them in her garden and they remind me of her in their "build" as well. Delicate looking but strong as a mother!! Rest in Peace my friend you will be remembered by many and all will remember you as a friend!!

Wild Parsnip is very common in many parts of Vermont. The plants grow wild along roadsides and other unmaintained areas and produce yellow flowers that look like Queen Anne’s Lace.
