Congratulations Megan!! Sarah and the rest of the Snug Planet team are so happy we could help make you and your family more comfortable in partnership with the Finger Lakes Climate Fund.

🌟It’s not too good to be true!🌟

Our 51st Climate Fund grant winner Megan was at first skeptical of the process. Lots of paperwork? Hidden costs? Too good to be true? She didn’t want that...good thing she came to the right place.

Overwhelmed, she reached out to Snug Planet and was connected quickly with Sarah. Sarah walked her through the process and handled everything, reassuring Megan along the way. Together, they made a plan to tackle and address her family’s needs in their new home.

Megan was set up with a new heat pump water heater, air source heat pump, and added insulation in her basement and attic. Her son was recovering from a concussion and suffering from chronic headaches, so when it was really hot and humid, he could cool off real quick with the heat pump’s air conditioning, an unexpected benefit!.

Hey Snug Friends-It's Transformation Tuesday!!!

"Thanks to Snug Planet (and a special shout-out to Sarah Cox!) for going over and above a very high standard of thoroughness in providing a comprehensive inspection of the many aspects of our home to ensure that it is most efficient in energy usage. Thanks to Sarah, we learned that 80% [20%] of our heat was escaping through the chimney and a small but significant amount of gas was also seeping into our home due to a VERY old boiler and hot water heater. This is what can happen when you've been living in a 100+ year old house and have not made a move until you're alerted to these facts. We are so grateful that Sarah's inspection uncovered this reality! We are so relieved to now have a current, state-of-the-art boiler and hot water heater, and so appreciative of being directed to certain incentive programs and funding assistance for this health and safety necessity. We are already waking up in the mornings feeling better and look forward to lower heat bills this winter.

It was great to work with Sarah. She patiently explained her findings and answered all of my many questions clearly and completely. She has been quick to reply to phone messages and follows through with all questions and concerns.

We appreciate Snug Planet's generosity too, in loaning us a portable heater for the recent cool evenings in the interim time before the boiler and water heater could be installed.
