What are our goals at Mask Tree Services, you may ask? Here are a few:

-Be convenient

We try to offer efficient tee care and removal services. This means a regular, well trained crew with the equipment to do most jobs. An expedient and thorough cleanup is our default. We do what we say we will, and we do it well.

-Be knowledgable

Our team members regularly attend training events hosted by the ISA, TCIA, and various private groups within the tree care industry. We follow ANSI standards and incorporate regular team training sessions into our schedule.

-Be transparent

Why does tree care cost what it does? Mask Tree Services maintains the proper insurances, membership in various tree care institutions, a diverse fleet of machinery, and a crew that deserves a fair wage for what is a tough, often dangerous job. We do not have hidden fees. Instead, we are upfront about our costs and stick to our quotes. Quality comes at a price, and we are trying to provide excellent quality.

It's the height of summer!

Drought season and high heats are here. So how can we help our trees?

Mask Tree Services would like to suggest the simple addition of mulch.

A 3 to 4 inch-deep mulch ring within the canopy's shade does a lot of benificial things:

-Better water retention!

-Insulates the roots from extreme heat.

-Protects exposed roots from mower damage.

-Aerates compacted soil over time.

-Adds organic material and nutrients as it breaks down.

-Encourages symbiotic organisms that help your trees!

So, if you're already struggling to grow grass around the tree, why not add a nice mulch bed around it instead?

*please note, a proper mulch bed does not bury or cover the tree trunk, nor its root flair. The tree's absorbing roots are primarily away from the trunk and out underneath the canopy.

Robert Freeman 's Rescue In The Park -Summer 2026.

Awesome folks and a lot of learning out in Arkansas. The Mask Tree Services team was really happy to make it out, and to see some of our favorite friends in the tree care community.

Arborists are some of the best problem solvers you'll ever meet.

Here at Mask Tree Services, we've seen some pretty amazing things that boggle the mind, and we've learned a lot from some absolutely amazing arborists.

Here it is applied to a pretty bog-standard rigging scenario:
A roughly 30 foot limb partially tears out and comes to rest in a neighboring tree.

It's over the client's backyard, where the kids play and all the fun breakable stuff is.

To get it down we first butte tied-off the piece from the ground with a natural crotch, onto a port-a-wrap friction device. Don't want that end to fail!

Next we decided to span rig the tip, so that it would float out into the open once it was cut. I set a ring-and-ring from the ground, ran a rope through to a jailbrake ( get their fine products from JailBrake WithKeylie.)

Finally we set a climb line, get up in the neighboring tree and tie off the rigging rope. A pulley sling on the piece, a couple minor cuts to free up the canopy with some additional rigging, and she's ready to float.

All that for something really rather anti-climatic. But that's what we want...

I don't like pole saw work, so if I've got a solid rigging point, you're darn right we're going to float these little guys.

It takes the "excitement" out of it and it's much easier to process them on the ground.

Steep roof?

Let us handle it, because a hospital visit can be expensive and injuries can be permanent.

Here Kristin Mask is setting a rigging system to float limbs away from the roof after they're cut.

His climbing system is tied off to the base of a tree on the other side of the roof peak, allowing him to safely lean into his work.

This removal is a perfect example of what Mask brings to the table:

This was a decently sized pecan-removal in tight quarters, around structures. Using our bucket truck, GRCS, and extensive rigging, we were able to get it down quickly and safely.

With our ground protection mats and mini skid, we were able to move large material out quickly with zero damage to the lawn and garden.

Total visit time was under 6 hours from our morning site walkthrough to hauling away the last bit of debris.

Mask Tree Services is back from Virginia!

We had a great week at Rec The River IV, our annual arborist get away. It's been an amazing time meeting people who share the same passion we have, many of which we've come to consider friends and family.

Jesse Paul and Todd Braguglia have really put on a wonderful event, and this is one of the many reasons we love this industry so much.


As the awesome Robert Freeman put it:
"It's more than just how we make a living—it's what drives us. We live through our craft, and events like this allow us to step back from the day-to-day work and reconnect with the reasons we chose this profession in the first place."

The team is grateful to everyone who helped make another incredible event possible this year. Thank you to the staff, volunteers, and everyone who shared their knowledge, stories, and friendship along the way.

We're ready to bring everything we've learned back home to Texas, where we can continue putting that knowledge to work for our clients and community.

It's great to be home 🌳❤️
