We provided weekly mowing services for a local business owner. The work was completed as agreed, and multiple invoices were sent. We were told payment would be taken care of after a trip out of town. Despite repeated follow-ups by phone, text, email, and mail, there has been no response — and the balance remains unpaid.
We’ve since learned the business is planning to shut down this summer. Regardless of the timeline, honoring your commitments matters.
We’re sharing this as a reminder to other small business owners and service providers: Document your work, protect your time, and stand firm when others don’t follow through.
