Our first cutting of Oregano has been dehydrated.
Oregano is great for Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. But it has many other uses.
One of which is used as a "Repellant for Ticks" πŸͺ³

Bountiful blessings! Look at the size of these berries. πŸ“ 13 Quarts of strawberries picked this evening. What started as 12 bare root plants 3 years ago has multiplied into hundreds of plants that spread happiness to family and friends and all the extra plants are sold every Spring.

The plan for today was to unload the truck filled with mulch. Little did I know rain was coming today.
So what do you do when your plans change? Go plant shopping πŸ˜†

With 16 quarts of strawberries picked before the rain arrived, today was all about making the most of the harvest - turning some into strawberry rhubarb jam, preserves, freezer jam, and pancake syrup, with 7 quarts still waiting for their next creation, like strawberry pie and ice cream.

These are some large strawberries and yummy too. πŸ˜‹

Start with the second income.
Subtract the taxes that hit it at the higher marginal rate, because it stacks on top of the first one.
Subtract the commute.
Subtract the second car, the gas, the insurance, the maintenance.
Subtract the daycare....and if there is more than one child, subtract it again.
Subtract the work clothes, the lunches out, the convenience food on the nights nobody has the energy to cook.
Subtract the cleaning service, because nobody who works two full-time jobs has time to scrub a bathroom.
Subtract the higher grocery bill from never having time to cook from scratch. Subtract the takeout.
Subtract the therapy.
Subtract the urgent care visits because everyone is run down and sick all winter.

What is left is almost never what they told you it would be.
