Now Hiring Millwork Estimator/Drafter

Cathedral Builders, Inc., a leading WI based architectural casework manufacturer, seeks immediate full-time, experienced, detail minded estimator to prepare organized and thorough casework and millwork bids. Upon contract award: create complete and accurate working CAD shop drawings from architectural plans and/or sketches. Follow project through submittal process and fabrication while supporting shop foreman and effectively communicating with general contractors.
Examples of Work Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret architectural plans for Division 6 scope including casework, millwork, trim, and countertops
- Perform accurate and complete take offs, analyzing project specifications and supporting documents for inclusion on estimate
- Prepare complete scope bids according to client’s due dates in a timely manner
- Effectively communicate with client for pricing additions, addendums, or scope review meetings, and make necessary adjustments to costs
- Draft electronic drawings using AutoCAD for submission to client based upon contract requirements
- Work with manufacturing employees to ensure accuracy of construction methods shown on sketches
- Check availability and lead times while ordering samples and obtaining quotes from vendors for color and product submittals to client
- Update detailed drawings throughout project duration including changes made via redlines and construction bulletins
- Manage approval process with an emphasis on scheduling
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with LEED, FSC, and AWI standards a plus
- Experience required in AutoCAD 2014 or newer
- Associates degree and/or min 2+ years working experience in estimating and architectural drafting
- Knowledge of MS Office, specifically excel and outlook
- Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills
- SketchUp training a plus but not required
Work is performed in a millwork office setting. This position is physically and mentally required to regularly:
- Sit, stand, and walk

- Possess ability to use a computer and keyboard for 8 hours a day
- Reach with hands and arms
- Effectively communicate and interact with others
Benefits:
- Starting Salary based upon experience - $41,000-$45,700
