Grateful for the opportunity to work on this early 1940’s Ludwig snare drum for Peter Murthum of Lansing. His dad helped establish the band program at Mason High School and this was one of the first drums they used with the band. He keeps its legacy alive by still actively playing this drum, and previously swapped out the original claw hoops for diecast in the 90’s, but still wasn’t getting the sound he was after, so he brought it in to have the edges trued and reshaped, along with a modified snare bed profile, INDe strainer & butt plate swap, plus new heads and wires. Sounds and plays fantastic now and will continue to make great music for many years to come!
Thanks so much for your trust and support, Peter, and enjoy playing it! What can we fix for you? WeFixDrums.com
