Kelly Schweda: I am originally from Flint but have been transplanted in Jackson for the last nine years. I am a sexual and domestic violence educator at MSU and an artist. I received a Bachelors degree in Fine Art from Siena Heights University (concentrating in painting and metalsmithing) and a Masters degree in Women’s Studies (concentrating in sociology and psychology) from EMU. is a creative outlet for me. Since I work in the field of domestic and sexual violence I find it important to have something small that is beautiful to hold close to your heart. I strive to produce those small treasures for people to draw strength or joy from. I utilize a lot of vintage components and lost items that have been discarded as well as crystals, sea glass, gemstones and metals. My jewelry can be purchased at Jackson Antique Mall (downtown Jackson) or pendants at Beads to Live By (also in Jackson)I also am available for custom designs, including formal and wedding jewelry.
