Retaining wall replacement from last week on Unity Pond 🐟
We still enjoy these quick little couple day projects, especially when they’re for great customers with good neighbors nearby!
We wrapped this one up at the end of last week, then shifted gears in a big way moving 1,300+ yards of material over the weekend to get started on building a new roadway in Oakland. 💪
From a small retaining wall on the pond to moving some serious dirt, we’re always ready for the next project.

Large 40 Eljen Bio-Matt Septic System installed in Waldo ✅

🚧 We’ve got a monster! 🚧
A 40-Eljen MAT system is currently being installed in Waldo! The existing septic field had failed, so we’re replacing the old system with this large, 6-bedroom system.

The installation is in a tricky spot in the backyard, but nothing a few crane mats can’t help with! 💪

Another challenging site, another septic system built to get the job done. 👊

A quick Saturday project for our favorite real estate agent! 👏
He and his wife were looking for a simple, clean, and low-maintenance solution for the area leading into their home, and this crushed ledge gravel patio was the perfect fit.
We used our popular crushed ledge gravel for the main patio area and installed 3/4" drainage stone along the house to create a clean drip edge and help manage runoff.
We also installed a dry well to help handle the large amount of water coming off the roof and improve drainage around the home.
Simple, functional, and built to last, a great little Saturday transformation!

Another lawn restoration project wrapped up yesterday in Frankfort! 🌱
Similar to the Oakland project we completed a couple of weeks ago, we were brought in to fix several issues left behind by the previous contractor. We corrected the grading around the house, dug up and re-pitched the perimeter drain while extending it, brought in topsoil, then seeded and mulched the entire lawn area.

We also built up and leveled a pad for their upcoming shed delivery.

A couple of long days of hard work, and another property is ready to grow into something the homeowners can be proud of. On to the next one! 💪🐾

Yesterday the crew knocked out this driveway restoration and lawn regrading project in Belfast for one of our longtime plow customers. The guys put in a full day's work and got it done from start to finish in a single day.

No shortcuts. Just hard work, the right equipment, and a crew that gets after it.

The complete transformation of this new home in Oakland is officially finished. This has easily been our favorite and most satisfying project of the season. 💯

When we first arrived, it was clear the initial site work had been done as quickly as possible to get the home ready for sale. There were several major landscaping and drainage issues that needed to be addressed. The lawn around the house was sloped toward the slab in multiple areas, there was little to no topsoil, essential drip edges and French drains were missing where they were needed, and the driveway lacked a proper base and grading, causing water to flow directly into the garage every time it rained. And those were just the issues we found right away.

This project demanded countless hours of labor, careful planning, the right equipment, and a lot of material but yesterday we wrapped it up, and the results speak for themselves.

This is what we're all about. Going above and beyond, paying attention to every detail, and doing the work that others overlook to deliver a finished product that's built to last. We don't just make properties look better, we solve problems the right way.

Here's a preview of the L&B crew's recent activities in Oakland this week. Upon our arrival on Monday, it was evident that a significant amount of work was required. The entire lawn needed regrading and loam hauled in, a drainage system had to be installed around the front side of the home, and the drip edge required completion, among other tasks. This morning we are back in Kennebec County, finalizing this project, and are excited to share the final photos.

New replacement septic system completed today. Our team has done an outstanding job over the last couple of days, finalizing the project despite the heat. We are grateful for our efficient and skilled crew this season. Following our celebration of our nation's 250th birthday, we will head to Oakland next week. 🇺🇸🎇🎆
