For our August General Membership Meeting we took a field trip to nearby Sandhill Crane Vineyards. Shelly gave us a guided tour among the vines and gave us an informative review of growing two different types of grapes that they use in their wines. Many members enjoyed wine tasting, wine slushes, light meals and delicious desserts.

Last week three members of JCMGA worked an information table at the Felician Sisters Montessori Open House. We provided information on gardening as well as distributed information on the invasive Spotted Lantern Fly and Oak Wilt disease.

Today was our Crouch Senior Center Garden Party and wow what a good time! We can give credit to Marla and Lori, and a handful of Master Gardeners who created a wonderful indoor/outdoor venue with antique teacups, quilts, doilies, games, prizes and live music by Kevin Krieger!

We are here until three today! Come on out to this wonderful free family event! Our group is hosting a fun table activity with lots of great information about pollinators!

Last evening we had our general membership meeting at a member’s home. JIll and her husband have created a lovely haven for humans, pups, chickens and all kinds of pollinators! We enjoyed our tour of her certified monarch waystation! Thank you to Jay for the wonderful photos.
