FYI- when using your water hose and it gets tangled, don’t yank the hose or this will happen. Before and after.

Yes you need a plumbing permit, thermal expansion tank and all brass lead free fittings. Here is one that I installed this morning and passed inspection. Gm my friends, it has happened again! Homeowner was going to unscrew his water hose from the hose bibb, but it was too tight, so he tried one pair of pliers with no second pair for hold back snapping the CPVC pipe off in the wall. Not knowing where his main water supply valve was located, but was able to find his water meter 15 minutes later and turn off. Flooding the dining room, kitchen and foyer. All hardwood floors! Before you attempt to do any plumbing repair no matter how simple, locate your main water supply valve or water meter. Better to be safe than costly.

Gm my friends, Tip of the day. Before you try to turn off any water supply valve under your sink or toilet go outside and find your main water supply valve to the house or your water meter and turn off. This steps will prevent flooding of your house. When you attempt to turn off the said valve - hold valve with one hand and turn the k**b with the other. This will prevent breaking the pipe off in the wall. I encourage you to take the time to find your main water supply valve and water meter. This happens quite often.
