A lot happens between the concept plan and the finished landscape.

Materials, layouts, and designs can be modified based on the client’s budgets and preferences.

The main goals for the Jacksonville landscape project were privacy from surrounding upstairs windows and creating an outdoor gathering space, which this project achieved.

Design doesn’t stop when construction starts.

You can feel confident that any unexpected changes to the design are thoughtfully done.

We stay involved throughout installation to make sure the project is built the way it was intended.

Every landscape project starts with understanding the site and client’s wish list.

Swipe to see how an existing property moves from a concept design to a construction plan — and eventually a finished space.

It’s been a while since we last posted—and that’s on us.

The good news? We’ve been busy designing, planning, permitting, and building outdoor spaces for some great clients.

We’re still here, still doing the work we love, and excited to start sharing more of what we’ve been up to. 🌿

Here’s a nice landscape vignette featuring the male sago palm in bloom.

A blank canvas to enhance the views of the water and create some memorable outdoor spaces!

Finished up our first site visit on one of our new projects. Excited to be part of the team to redevelop this 4 acre riverfront property into a mid-century modern space. Awesome river views and existing oak canopy.

It’s going to be an amazing and unique venue for this area!!

Working in the South Texas Plains this week. Lots of scrubby, thorny, dry-loving plants and tons of mesquite trees.

I always make a point to explore, appreciate the unique flora and fauna, and of course find new plants and birds.

There are so many things to appreciate in nature if you take the time to pay attention.

Coolest new bird species recorded this trip were the Crested Caracara, Greater Roadrunner, Least Grebe, and White-tailed Hawk. All of which are specific to this area of the USA.

Plenty of cattle and wildlife around like whitetail deer, Rio Grande wild turkey, and a Basking Red Eared Slider turtle.

Some “behind-the-scenes” pages from our design sketchbook.

Getting your ideas on paper is helpful. It doesn’t have to be pretty.

You don’t have to be perfect to be successful.

Log bench update: sanded and ready for sealer.

Turns out camphor wood is dense and heavy. The saws did not like it. It was very wet and didn’t want to dry.

So we did a little pivot and made a different style bench. Still happy with how it turned out. It is very comfortable to sit on.

Now the hard part…moving it to it’s final home.
