Lil Smurfette to the rescue uncovering this old septic tank. We cleaned the clogged effluent filter, but the tank was definitely in need of pumping. Home owners had it pump and we covered it back up.

Remember to have your tanks pumped every 3-5 years.

Another problem solved with surgical precision!

The property owner reached out concerning a sink hole in the yard. After probing, we didn't know the exact cause, but knew the hole was in excess of 4-5 feet. During excavation we found several empty veins. Excavated a 5x5 area, the vein on the excavator side collapsed making the hole 5x6. We reached solid soil at 6 feet deep. Backfilled with approximately 6 tons of washed stone and topped with six inches of topsoil. Sod was then replaced and the property looks like we were never there.

Another septic repair on the books. Initial clearing of vegetation had to be conducted to facilitate the install. The in ground fill system required excavation of unsuitable fill material and backfilled with suitable Group 1 material. We dug to the permit depth of 32" and did not reach original soil. Additional excavation was required until original soil was found at 42". During excavation we found unmarked utilities to include a powerline from the old house. Yes 811 came out to mark. New septic and pump tanks were installed . Due to the space restrictions behind the home, we opted to set Infiltrator tanks which required buoyancy control and a significant overdig. T&J Prefabricated Panel blocks were installed and system was capped with the loamy soil from the excavation. The system was graded to ensure surface water was directed off of and around system. Soil erosion control with seed, curlex and straw put the finishing touches on the project.

Another pump and control panel replacement complete. We found many issues with the system and the homeowners had just purchased the home 6 months prior. A septic inspection was conducted prior to purchase. We found the distribution box had severe root intrusion. We called the pumpers to pump the tanks and jet the lines to clear the obstructions. The homeowners received education on proper maintenance of their system.

A homeowner in Hampsted reached out regarding an overgrown yard. Her father built this beautiful home back in 1985. Juniper ground cover was planted in order to prevent erosion, but was over taken by saplings. Overtime, the area became so overgrown the home could not be seen from the road and the view of the golf course was non-existent. She is considering selling the home and this needed to be handled. We gave her some affordable ideas to beautify the area, but the first step was to remove the brush. We decided to brushcut leaving the root systems intact and mulching the slash for erosion control. During the project, neighbors would stop by and compliment the improvement.

This homeowner contacted us after seeing a project that we completed last year. A guy that "specializes" in hardscapes built this botched headwall. Needless to say we tore it out. The homeowner was constantly battling a saturated ditch that never dried up and had an erosion issue at his driveway. After tearing out the headwall, we cleaned out the ditch and firmed up the saturated areas with stone; Installed 15" DOT HDPE and backfilled. We picked out a large river rock to match the house and used as rip rap at the end of the culvert. Centipede sod put the finishing touches on this project.

Another home makeover. Our clients wanted these unsightly shrubs removed and a simple easily maintained landscape.
We removed Cameilias and Boxwoods that were too large for the bed size and cleaned out the weeds.
For the center bed we installed geotextile fabric, planted 2 Gardinia Radicans (dwarf) accented them with variegated liriope, split and replanted two orange daylillies down the side. The bed was then topped with Patriot Mountain river rock (very fitting).
For the left bed we built a raised flower bed utilizing Techo Bloc Semma in the color tone Sandlewood, capped with Techo Bloc Architectural caps in Onyx Black. Six sun beaten Hostas were then transplanted to this shade garden and chocolate mulch added the finishing touch.
