🔥Following the recent fires in Philadelphia and the Bronx, we want to share some important fire safety reminders:

> KEEP DOORS CLOSED- Sleep with bedroom doors closed and, in the event that you have a fire in your home, close doors behind you as you leave. Open doors can intensify the spread of fire, smoke, and toxic gases.

> INSTALL, TEST, & REACT TO SMOKE ALARMS Smoke alarms should be installed in every bedroom, outside of the sleeping areas, and on every level of the home. Test them monthly and ensure that everyone in the home knows how to react when they hear them.

> KEEP SPACE HEATERS AWAY FROM FLAMMABLE MATERIALS- Keep anything that can burn at least 3 feet away from heating equipment and don’t forget to turn off heaters when you leave the room.

> KEEP LIGHTERS, MATCHES, & OTHER FIRE-STARTING TOOLS OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN- Educate your children on the dangers and consequences of playing with lighters and matches, and keep those tools out of their reach to eliminate their temptation to play with them.
