There are certain products that really make a house stand out. One of those is LP Smartside. There isn’t another brand that gives that pure wood grain look like it does. The draw back to it and some of the other siding products are the difficulty of installation. It’s all about the prep work. A proper house wrap that provides airflow is needed to help dry out any moisture that may get behind in the humid climate we live in. Then the installers need to take the time to properly flash the siding so that it better protects from water infiltration. No siding product is water proof, which is why the underlayment is so important and the application. Kris Thomas did an excellent job with this install. He kept the margins even and allowed the proper spacing in between the joints, roofing, and masonry materials. Then the icing on the cake, Jason Crosby and his crew, after all the caulking was completed are now finishing it off with a beautiful coat of paint.
