**Pallet cutting update**
As of today, we have begun taking waitlist orders for centipede pallet pick ups and are cutting on a very limited basis. Once you are added to the list, we will call you when we think we can have your order available. We are also currently taking pallet orders for delivery, with the understanding that there may be substantial delays. We continue to monitor the situation almost daily and will report back as soon as the turf fully transitions and is cutting well.

03/31/2023

As of today, March 31st, we are suspending ALL pallet cutting for a minimum of one week. We have reached the time of the year when the turf doesn’t hold together while harvesting. This is not only wasteful for us, but we certainally do not want to sell a product that you will most certainly not be happy with. If you currently have a pallet order scheduled for delivery, you will be receiving a phone call at some point to discuss your options. If you were looking to pick up sod, we may begin taking waitlist orders after the Easter holiday. Sorry for the inconvenience, but this is something that we historically deal with every year around this time. We simply will not sell an inferior product that is not up to our standards. We hope to hear from you in the coming weeks. Thank you for your patience and patronage.

03/27/2023

We would like to thank all of our customers, past, present and future, for a great start to the 2023 season! We also want to take a moment to mention a few things as the growing season ramps up and we historically get extremely busy this time of year.

1. If we fail to answer the phone during normal business hours, PLEASE LISTEN TO THE VOICEMAIL CAREFULLY and LEAVE A MESSAGE! Depending on what is going on with cutting, weather, planting, etc., there may be specific instructions on getting your order in the most efficient way possible. If you leave a message during our normal business hours, we WILL get back to you. It may be later in the day or the following day depending on call volume.

2. Our website has tons of information including our business hours, care for your new sod, how to measure for your project, etc. It will answer most of your questions before you even call.

3. EVERYTHING we cut, whether its one piece of sod, or a truck load, has to be ordered ahead of time and scheduled. We almost never have sod precut for you to "swing by and pick up". This is done to ensure you have the freshest sod possible.

4. Deliveries right now are around 2 weeks out depending on your location. The rainfall we received over the weekend and today, has pushed our delivery schedule out more than we had hoped.

When doing a large project on your own, we always recommend breaking up your deliveries. For instance, Mr. Spellman of New Bern needed nearly 60 pallets of Centipede. We have been delivering loads of 10 pallets every few weeks over the summer to fill his order. This not only is easier on you and your help, but it makes your watering routine much more manageable. If he had ordered all of his grass at once, there would have been no way to keep it watered properly and his yard would have suffered. Now, he has one of the nicest centipede yards we have seen this year.....all done by himself and one neighbor. Even the dog approves!
