Creating workforce housing in Key West meant addressing a critical community need while preserving the character that makes the island unique.
Developed through a public-private partnership on land donated by the City of Key West, the project was designed in accordance with Historic Architectural Review Commission guidelines and draws inspiration from the city's distinctive architectural heritage.
From the crimp metal roofing and stucco finishes to the balconies and integrated public art, every element was carefully considered to create housing that feels connected to its surroundings.
This project demonstrates how thoughtful design can provide essential housing while celebrating the culture, history, and identity of the community it serves.
