Cool R Us A/C & Heating’s owner, Lek Gjoka, arrived in the United States from Albania in 1999, speaking no English, with no money, and with no experience in the heating and cooling industry. A college graduate with military experience, Gjoka quickly learned English and got a job working in the warehouse of an HVAC business. Not long after that, he started assisting with the installation of heating and cooling systems.
With a work ethic and drive not uncommon for immigrants to America, he studied, worked hard and became a top-certified service tech for the company he served. Hearing his story should make the next step in his life come as no surprise – Gjoka would become a U.S. citizen and start his own business.
📷In 2006, Gjoka’s dream of citizenship became a reality and, in 2007, he started Cool R Us A/C & Heating. In the years since, Cool R Us, Inc A/C & Heating has doubled their business each year. And Gjoka’s love for his country has multiplied as well.
My employees are polite to people. They are clean cut, on time and they treat your house as if it were their own. They show up dressed in a uniform with a badge on it. They are skilled to diagnose the problem and fix it. We pull a permit on every replacement job. And we get each of those jobs inspected. When we started our business, we started with a few values that we have kept. We offer the best products, the best service and a fair price. The heating and cooling business is very rewarding to me. We show up when someone is mad and sad, and then we fix it and make them happy. We make uncomfortable people comfortable, and change their mood.
